Centercode Named One of the Best Places to Work (and We’re Hiring!)

August 11, 2015

Centercode is excited to announce that the Orange County Business Journal and Best Companies Group has officially named us one of the Best Places to Work in Orange County in 2015!

Centercode CEO Luke Freiler said, “When I started this company when I was 20 I really wanted to create a company where people would be excited about going to work every day. To hear that 14 years later our employees still enjoy working here, and that they like working with me and the rest of our management team just as much as we like working with them, means a lot to me.”

Since Centercode was established in 2001, building a strong team and creating a positive work environment have been two major company goals. Through things like planning company ping pong tournaments, hosting team happy hours, and encouraging a fun and casual work environment, we’ve worked hard to make Centercode a place where people enjoy and care about their work.

“It’s been important to us that people here feel really happy in their job,” said Freiler. “We have the great privilege of being able to hire people we like both on a personal and professional level. It’s not just smart people who end up getting a job here, it’s people we really want to work with that also happen to be exceptionally talented.”

These sentiments are shared across the entire team at Centercode. We’re all grateful to the Orange County Business Journal for recognizing our management team’s hard work in making Centercode a great work environment. As Centercode continues to grow and hire more talented individuals to join our team, we look forward to the future and believe our best days are ahead of us.

How We Made The List

The annual Best Places list, which has been published every year since 2009, is the product of an extensive countywide survey designed to help recognize the best places of employment in Orange County, California. Some of the most innovative, growing, and well-known OC companies regularly top the list.

To be ranked on the Best Places to Work in Orange County an organization has to meet a few requirements. Winners must have a facility within Orange County with at least 15 local employees. A company must also have been in business for at least one year. For-profit, not-for-profit, and government entities are all eligible to make the list and can be both privately and publicly held.

If a company is deemed eligible, all participants then go through a rigorous two-part assessment process to determine if their company has what it takes to top the rankings. Part one of the evaluation is designed to assess workplace policies, practices, and demographics of the chosen employers. The results of this process are worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. Part two is made up of employee surveys that measure overall employee experience. Employee surveys are worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The scores are then combined to determine which OC companies will make up the final ranking.
